“All you hear, all the time, is how hard it is getting into a good Developer position”

So you’re sat there. You’ve recently graduated or already have a dev position, with some exposure to .NET under your belt, but you’re like:

“I want – I need – to work somewhere decent”.

And that’s fair enough.

So let me help you find somewhere decent.

I think I know just the place.

There’s a junior .NET dev role here in Kent; Sittingbourne to be exact.

You’ll be developing software that can be hosted anywhere, delivered over the web and hosted in their private cloud platform.

You’ll need some experience with the .NET framework (C#, ASP.net, MVC, Web API), as well as SQL Server, HTML/CSS, that kind of thing.

If you’ve got exposure to JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS and Ionic, that’d be useful too, but if not, you'll have an individual £2k training budget to learn new skills.

If you’re the kind of person who wants to work on big important projects with big, important clients, you’ll enjoy it.

And I mean BIG. We’re talking global hedge funds, private equity and financial firms in 10 countries.

The cutting-edge solutions allow their clients to optimise and improve their processes within their business.

Luckily, there’s a tonne of different ways they do this; they can build software to exact client requirements, use traditional desktop applications for windows, or create web solutions and mobile applications, so it’s not like you’ll be bored stuck working on one thing forever.

That’s the job. Let me tell you about the company. Because I think you’ll like how it sounds.

It’s with a national success story – set up nearly 12 years ago and is now operating globally, with their Kent office the location of one of their secure Data Centres.

They’re specialists in an industry full of generalists, so their clients love them. Big well-known clients you can get involved and form contacts with.

Agile environment with the latest tech, so they’re not messing about. They know what they’re doing. You won’t be wasting your time.

And they’re not stopping where they are. They’ve got plans to grow with new offices opening in Dublin, Amsterdam and San Francisco.

But in spite of the company’s success, they’re not about forgetting how they got there.

You’ll have a voice. You’ll have ownership of your projects, and you’ll be listened to in meetings no matter your level.

On top of this you'll receive 25 days holiday + 8 stats, a decent pension (3% matched), mobile phone, laptop, private medical, critical illness and death in service insurances, childcare vouchers, and an individual training budget (£2k) for self-development.

So it’s not just ‘on-the-job’ experience. It’s formal learning of new skills.

Not only is this great for your career, it’ll help you progress through the company, if that’s what you want.

Why are they offering all this?

Because it’ll help the company too.

Yes it’s a great company. Yes it’s a great role.

But that’s our opinion.

It doesn’t matter what we think.

See what you think.

Like you said earlier: you want to work somewhere decent.
