Like the idea of working for a FTSE100 company that promotes autonomy and innovation?

A company that allows you to work on lots of different projects rather than just being stuck on one project all year?

One that encourages you to attend events such as Microsoft Future Decoded?

If you do, I'd suggest taking a read of the below job ad.

The role

Initially you’ll be working on a customer facing web portal, hosted in the cloud, that supports their services and provides their customers with insights into their operations.

You won't just be churning out code here; you'll be contributing to innovative projects.

For example, one product they’ve worked on was an app that helps check the quality and authenticity of oil, ensuring that authorities are happy with its origin.

Another product was an instrument that attaches itself to pipes underwater and uses software to reconstruct the contents.

The company

A world leading industrial technology company.

A FTSE100 business with all the expected associated benefits.

They provide specialised detection, diagnostic and measurement solutions to companies in the Oil & Gas sector.

Their goal is to drive technical innovation and bring significant benefits to their customers.

The team

5 dev’s that sit within an R&D function. A professional, collaborative and innovative bunch.

They’re lead by a forward-thinking dev manager – who’s a certified Scrum Master - and they work within an Agile environment.

This dev manager promotes autonomy.

He won’t be breathing down your neck constantly. It’s a grown-up culture.

He wants to play to your strengths, too.

Prefer working on Mobile apps? He’ll let you do that.

Prefer working on desktop or web apps? Crack on with those instead.

As long as everyone’s pulling in the right direction and mucking in, he’s happy.
