The Role

The Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for improving the quality of software releases through automation process and tools improvements.

Working in an Agile Development Software Methodology (SCRUM), the QA Engineer will work with Software Developers, QA Analysts and Cloud Ops, in order to automated test cases for Key Product Workflows that will accelerate testing efforts during Functional, Integration and Regression Testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Author test scripts using the established automation infrastructures and framework. 
  • When necessary, performs some manual testing of new functionality which has yet to be automated
  • Utilizes Web test automation technologies 
  • Continuously maintains, evaluates and improves automated tests as necessary. 
  • Collaborates with the QA Team and other departments to achieve project goals. 
  • Performs moderately complex functional, application, regression and performance tests. 
  • Defines and adheres to quality initiatives. 
  • Provide standard metrics and results from all testing efforts.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field 
  • Coding experience in C#

Preferred skills

  • Relevant experience in QA or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated testing skills and understanding of QA processes
  • Experience testing in the cloud, mobile, thick client, and web environments 
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft toolset (MTM, Azure DevOps/Visual Studio)
  • Knowledge of Test automation frameworks such as Selenium and WebDriver.
